What You Really Need in a Baby Nursery: A Practical Guide
Do I Even Need a Nursery?
When I was pregnant, everyone kept saying, “Don’t worry about the nursery, the baby will be in with you for the first six months.” And yes, that’s true. But I still wanted a proper space for the baby’s things, somewhere to change and feed at night, and somewhere to store everything. That nesting urge was real!
Our nursery became one of my favourite rooms. It’s exciting to see it all come together, and it makes spending time with Freya even more special (when I actually manage to tidy it!).
What Goes in a Nursery?
I’ve grouped everything by category to make it easier to think about. On Listely, this is even more interactive:
- See each item to consider (you definitely don’t need everything, Listely gives you options)
- Read a description, including quantity, purpose, and considerations
- Check community comments from other Listely users
- Add your own notes
- Look up full definitions in the glossary
